Commercial Director and Expedition Leader Aaron Russ said the new programme ‘sees us exploring the island paradise of the South Pacific, down to the wild and remote sub-Antarctic islands, returning to the heart of Antarctica, the Ross Sea and the coastlines and islands of New Zealand.’
New destinations include Indonesia’s Komodo National Park to view the dangerous Komodo dragons and the Wakatobi National Park which Jacques Cousteau described as an ‘underwater nirvana.’
Bucket-list Indonesia
Russ described an 18-day 'Indonesian Explorer' from Bali to Madang in Papua New Guinea as ‘a real Indonesian bucket-list adventure.’
He said that, with New Zealand’s borders about to open to the world again, small ship expedition cruising, with Heritage’s more than 35 years of exploring parts of New Zealand that many visitors and New Zealanders alike rarely see, is the way to go.
