Le Roux, based in Queensland, joins Sydney-based Robert Halfpenny who was appointed global sales director in January as the company expands into the Australian market.

Extensive experience

Le Roux brings extensive experience in the travel industry, including roles with Contiki, On The Go Tours, Globus Family of Brands and Bench Africa.

He most recently was with home-based representation company Evolution Travel Collection, which he joined as national business development manager in June last year.

Key role

Heritage Expeditions Director Aaron Russ said le Roux's impressive industry credentials, extensive contacts, knowledge and track record of excellence spanning more than 20 years made him the natural choice for this key role in the company’s growth strategy.

Authentic expeditions

‘I’ve long admired Heritage Expeditions and their authentic, small ship expedition cruises, the wild and remote places they visit and the unparalleled adventures their guests enjoy,’ le Roux said.

‘The opportunity to join their team and work alongside Robert to grow sales with our Australian trade partners really is a career-defining move and I am excited to be part of Heritage Expeditions ongoing success,’ he said.
