Ponant’s Le Jacques-Cartier will go to Australia for the first time in 2024 to operate Kimberley cruises with sister ship Le Lapérouse.

Commencing in April 2024 are 22 departures between Broome and Darwin.

Le Jacques-Cartier, the newest of Ponant’s six-ship Explorer series, delivered in mid-2020, will undertake the 10-night ‘Australia’s Iconic Kimberley’ itinerary.

Purpose-built

Both ships were purpose-built as a base camp to relax and indulge after immersive Zodiac outings led by experienced expedition guides.

They have just 92 staterooms and suites, all with balconies or private terraces.

Estuarine crocodiles

Highlights of the 2024 season include visits to the Hunter River, inhabited by estuarine crocodiles, and discovering King George River in Zodiacs, reaching the majestic Twin Falls, the highest in Western Australia.

The company is offering savings of up to 30% for early bookings, with travellers encouraged to plan now for their long-awaited Kimberley adventure.
