Seabourn's twin expedition ships rendezvous in AntarcticaSeabourn's twin expedition ships rendezvous in Antarctica
Seabourn Pursuit and Seabourn Venture met today in Antarctica, in what Seabourn President Natalya Leahy called a 'historical moment for our brand.'
November 22, 2023

Watching the ships next to each other and 'watching our guests raising champagne to each other with a breathtaking backdrop of Neko Harbor made me so proud,' Leahy said.
To commemorate the meeting, passengers and crew gathered on the bow of each ship, where caviar and champagne were served.
Pursuit's maiden season
It is Seabourn Pursuit’s maiden Antarctica season and the second for Seabourn Venture.
'It was a very exciting day, and we could not think of a better way to commemorate our first trip to Antarctica than meeting up with our sister ship, Seabourn Venture,' Pursuit Capt. Stig Betten said. 'Many close friends and colleagues from each ship cheered and toasted to each other as we embarked on our expeditions to Antarctica, marking a new era in ultra-luxury expeditions.'
'Seeing our two ships sail side by side at the start of our Antarctica season solidifies the fact that we at Seabourn are able to introduce so many more individuals to breathtaking, remote destinations that few will ever visit,' Venture Capt. Jeroen Schuchmann added.
Seabourn Venture entered service in 2022 and Seabourn Pursuit this year.
Both ships will operate 11- to 13-day Antarctica cruises and 21-day voyages adding South Georgia and the Falkland Islands.
Scenic twins to meet in January
This is not the only meeting of sister ships in the White Continent this season. Scenic said its Scenic Eclipse I and II will rendezvous there on two cruises with January departures.
