Seabourn's far-flung 2024-25 expeditions include Kimberley trek

Expedition ships Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit will explore remote corners of the globe in 2024-25 including a visit to the Kimberley.

Seabourn Pursuit will travel the Kimberley in northern Australia from June to August 2024. The ship will also visit Papua New Guinea and Indonesia and sail the South Pacific from Chile to Melanesia between March and October next year.

Meanwhile, sister Seabourn Venture returns for another season in the UK, Ireland, Norway, Greenland, Iceland the Canadian Arctic.

Both ships will chart Antarctica from late 2024 to early 2025.

Seabourn Pursuit

Seabourn Pursuit's six 10-day voyages to the Kimberley will sail between Broome and Darwin. The trips feature Zodiac rides to Horizontal Waterfalls and guided hikes to surreal sandstone escarpments, spectacular gorges and visits with the traditional landowners to see primeval caves tagged with rock art.

The ship's 15-day voyages to Papua New Guinea and West Papua are scheduled in May and June and again in August and September 2024, with combination cruises up to 35 days also available. Snorkeling, diving, visits to traditional villages and front row seats for the sacred Baining Fire Dance at Rabaul are just some of the highlights.

In March and April and again in September and October 2024, Seabourn Pursuit will sail between the islands of the South Pacific and the coast of Chile on voyages of 14, 17 and 20 days, with combination voyages of up to 37 days also available. Destinations include the Juan Fernandez Archipelago off the coast of Chile, Easter Island, the Pitcairn group, French Polynesia, the Yasawa Islands of Fiji and Vanuatu's Ambrym Island and Pentecost Island. 

Seabourn Venture

Seabourn Venture will offer three 14-day voyages between Greenwich (London) and Leith (Edinburgh) in April and May 2024, with two different itineraries and the possibility to combine voyages. Destinations include Tresco, home to the subtropical Abbey Gardens; Iona, where St. Columba established an Abbey in 563 and St. Kilda, a double UNESCO World Heritage Site. Other highlights include the Orkney Islands, tiny Lochinver in the Scottish Highlands, the rugged coast of West Cork and seafaring Plymouth.

Expeditions to Norway, Greenland, Iceland and the Canadian Arctic are scheduled from June through September 2024. These include 11- and 12-day Svalbard itineraries, a 15-day voyage from Svalbard to Greenland to Iceland, an 11-day circumnavigation of Iceland, and 11- to 15-day voyages in Iceland and Greenland before closing out summer 2024 with a 14-day voyage from West Greenland to St. John’s, Newfoundland.

Antarctica

Both vessels will spend time in Antarctica, with Seabourn Pursuit offering 11 expeditions of 11, 13 and 21 days from October 2024 through mid-March 2025. Seabourn Venture will sail nine voyages of 11, 13 and 21 days from November 2024 to March 2025.
