Swan Hellenic taps industry veterans for North America office

Swan Hellenic General Manager Tom Russell leads the North America team
An office and call centre serving Swan Hellenic customers throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico has opened in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, led by a team of cruise industry veterans.

Tom Russell, general manager, Swan Hellenic — former president of Cruise & Travel Executives, COO of Global Voyages Group and COO & managing director North America of Silversea — leads the North America team.

Mitchell Schlesinger, who previously headed up the sales activities for Norwegian Cruise Line, Orient Lines and Voyages to Antiquity, joins the branch as sales director, North America. 

Swan Hellenic Customer Relations Director Andrea Corman, previously of Rescompany, who has guest-service experience with Voyages to Antiquity, Uniworld River Cruises and Oceania Cruises, will also be based at the Florida office, alongside ex-chief marketing technology officer at Global Voyages Group, Nick Giersdorf, who takes on the role of marketing & digital director.

‘Historically, North America was always one of Swan Hellenic’s most enthusiastic markets,’ said Alfredo Spadon, senior vice president, global sales and marketing, Swan Hellenic. 

International presence 

Headquartered in Cyprus, Swan Hellenic already has offices in London, Dusseldorf, Monaco, Hong Kong (serving mainland China, Taiwan and Southeast Asia) as well as partnerships serving India, Japan and Australia-New Zealand.
