This complies with California's new 'Honest Pricing Law' that takes effect July 1.

Carnival Corp. & plc's North American brands, Royal Caribbean Group (Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises; Silversea already advertised total pricing) and MSC Cruises have all said they would move to a uniform national approach. Azamara Cruises is doing so, too, globally.

NCL's statement

'To comply with this new law and to simplify the booking experience for all our guests based in the US and Canada, Norwegian Cruise Line will be incorporating applicable taxes, fees and port expenses into our advertised pricing by July 1, 2024. Our Free at Sea package will continue to be displayed separately as an optional offering,' an NCL spokesperson said.

The change impacts only the way prices are displayed, not the total cruise fare.
