Atlas introduces The Explorer's Table specialty dining
Atlas Ocean Voyages introduced a new specialty dining option, The Explorer’s Table, available on polar expeditions to Antarctica and the High Arctic.
September 23, 2024
This omakase-style experience will present culinary highlights from Spain, Korea, France, Argentina and North America in The Dome observation lounge. The experience will be available once on each expedition aboard World Voyager, World Traveller and World Navigator.
'Guests will enjoy a special evening with just a few other guests, providing the ultimate dining experience on board,' Atlas President/CEO James Rodriguez said.
Ten spots, $179 each
Prepared for only 10 people, The Explorer’s Table multi-course tasting menu is paired with a selection of premium wines from Argentina's Mendoza Valley.
Reservations open 60 days before the embarkation date and are priced at $179 per person. Pre-reservations can be made by contacting a travel advisor or an Atlas voyage specialist.
Highlights
Some of the standout dishes include salad de bacalao with tomato, cod, olives and extra virgin olive oil, and a steamed pastrami sandwich with mustard, kimchi and cheddar. For seafood lovers, the charcoal-steamed nishiki rice with ossetra caviar offers a luxurious touch, while the chargrilled gaucho-style vegetables and beans with pistachio gremolata deliver bold, earthy flavors.
Further dishes include mango, avocado and duck with broccoli crumbs, Hemingway peppermint mojito crush with Carolina raspberry, flamed spring chicken terrine with pickles, and Iberico ham with lemon olive oil. A decadent pot de crème features Valrhona Guanaja 70% chocolate and yuzu.

Time is running out for Atlas Ocean Voyages' 'Second Guest Sails Free' promotion, which ends Sept. 30.
