This is a massive increase on the A$70m spent in 2019.

‘This increase is due to our determination to support local businesses in the regions we visit, by sourcing the freshest and best quality produce,’ SVP Peter Little said.

Four ships sourcing F&B

Carnival Australia has four ships operating in Australia and New Zealand year-round, sourcing nearly 100% of their food and beverage from local suppliers.

‘Our economic contribution to the national economy extends far beyond taking our guests on unforgettable holidays at sea,’ Little said.

‘It’s about supporting tourism operators from Hobart to Cairns, from Fremantle to Airlie Beach and it’s about supporting farmers, truck drivers, pickers, vineyards and distilleries in all corners of the country,’ he said.

Thank you to suppliers

The company hosted more than 100 suppliers on board P&O Cruises Australia’s Pacific Adventure in Sydney as a thank you for their partnership over the past 12 months.
