The wellbeing and spa treatments are part of Celestyal’s ‘Sozo Experience’ on board Celestyal Journey and Celestyal Discovery. The Sozo Experience is inspired by the ancient Greek tradition of sozo, or wellness, with activities and concepts designed to rejuvenate the mind, body and spirit.

Treatments

Passengers can choose from new facial treatments, known as the Vie Collection, in the Sozo Spa. These are inspired by aesthetic medicine, in collaboration with experts in the field. They include a three-dimension wrinkle-smoothing densifying treatment - a supplementary or alternative facial to Botox; a pro-collagen lifting and firming option, including a massage session and concentrated products that replicate laser, LED and micro-needling techniques; and a customisable mesoforce revitalising plumping treatment, inspired by a mesotherapy session in an aesthetic medicine practice.

The line has also introduced Ayurvedic treatments, inspired by the 5,000-year-old practice of Ayurveda. This is a system of natural healing that has its origins in the Vedic culture of India and focuses on observing people through five elements - earth, water, fire, air and ether.

The options consist of: Ayurvedic head massage; Ayurvedic face and body massage; a Kizhi herbal pouch treatment; a Abhyanga Ayurvedic oil massage; Nasyam face and head massage; Ayurvedic lightweight leg massage.

Prices start from €72 to €122 per person.

To complete the wellness experience, passengers can consume superfood smoothies at the Fig & Honey bar, with rare ingredients such as pink pitaya and blue spirulina.

Lee Haslett, CCO at Celestyal said, ‘We know that wellness and relaxation are key components of the modern-day cruise experience, with our guests eager to not only explore our wonderful collection of destinations but also use their time on board to focus on their own personal wellbeing…’

Café Nation

Celestyal launched a new on board coffee bar in partnership with globally recognised Italian coffee brand illy.

The venue, named Café Nation, is available on Celestyal Discovery which joined the Celestyal fleet earlier this month. Passengers will have the option to consume illy blend classico, decaf, the four illy origins (Guatemala, Costa Rica, Ethiopia and Brazil) or illy cold brew. The menu comprises more than 90 specialised drinks alongside the option for passengers to personalise their orders. A selection of barista poured hot coffee beverages, herbal infused teas, creamy hot chocolates, as well as iced coffees and teas are available.

‘Café Nation not only brings the world-renowned quality of illy coffee to our ships, but also showcases our commitment to providing premium experiences to our guests across the globe,’ Haslett stated. It marks the first-time the cruise line has had a dedicated coffee bar.

Founded in 1933, illy is one of the most recognisable coffee brands in the world. Its unique blend originates from nine of the best 100% Arabica varieties, sourced from the top 1% of Arabica varieties cultivated worldwide.

Drinks packages

Throughout the ship, unlimited specialty coffees and a selection of herbal teas are included in the ‘Caffeinator’ on board drinks package priced at €12 per person per day; the €47 per person per day, ‘Sky’s the Limit’ drinks package also includes the barista coffee from Café Nation. Café Nation menu items are priced individually, too.
