Holland America Line sweetens cruises with Lindt chocolates
A new collaboration with Lindt & Sprüngli (USA), the makers of Lindor truffles, will see special turndown service treats and Lindt chocolate desserts aboard Holland America Line ships.
June 20, 2024
According to data analytics firm IRI Worldwide, Lindt is the No. 1 premium chocolate brand in the US.
On gala nights, turndown service will feature Lindor milk chocolate truffles or sea salt milk chocolate truffles once per cruise.
Dutch treat
And desserts will include a signature tulip-shaped Lindt chocolate mousse cake, reflecting HAL's Netherlands heritage. This cake is already aboard Rotterdam's Dutch Day dinner menu in the dining room and will be fleetwide as of August.
Beginning this summer, passengers will be able to order a Lindt sundae of vanilla ice cream topped with a custom-made Lindt chocolate sauce, as well as Lindt chocolate tulips one night per cruise in the dining room on the Dutch Day dinner menu.
'Cake Me Away'
In time for World Chocolate Day in July, Holland America will unveil a Lindt flourless chocolate cake in partnership with Lindt’s master chocolatier, Ann Czaja. The cake will be available on the dining room menu for cruises longer than seven days and featured during ‘Cake Me Away,’ a new dessert extravaganza display with more than 22 five-layer cakes in 16 flavors.
'We’re thrilled to align ourselves with Lindt, a globally beloved brand and one of the world’s leading chocolatiers, to launch an initiative that represents our deep connection to Europe and elevates the culinary experience onboard,' said Michael Stendebach, VP food, beverage and rooms division for Holland America Line.
