More cruise ships help Marseille charities

At a time when food aid is more necessary than ever, cruise lines are stepping up in Marseille.

It started with MSC Foundation on April 27, which organized the donation of more than four tons of food products, blankets and bed covers from MSC Magnifica. Costa Smeralda followed on May 13. And, on May 19, some two tons of food supplies were given by Ponant's L'Austral, Le Boréal and Le Lyrial.

Coordinated by Marseille Provence Cruise Club

All these donations went to the Food Bank, Red Cross and other local associations. Operations were carried out with the help of the Marseille Firefighter Sailors, port customs and the Bouches-du-Rhône Prefecture, all coordinated by the Marseille Provence Cruise Club.
