Chef Alexandre Ciriello will bring his culinary expertise to SH Diana’s 10-day ‘Spirit of the Celts’ sailing from Portsmouth, England to Dublin, Ireland.

A member of JRE-Belgium, Ciriello trained at the Pierre Romeyer Hotel School before honing his craft under renowned chefs Yves Mattagne, Peter Goossens and Maxime Colin.

He further refined his skills at The Jane in Antwerp and gained public recognition as a finalist on the French TV show Objectif Top Chef.

In 2017, at 20 years old, he opened L'Horizon, a celebrated fine-dining restaurant in Belgium known for its innovative yet tradition-rooted cuisine.

Swan Hellenic’s 2025 Maris sailings will feature 10 chefs who are members of JRE-Jeunes Restaurateurs – an association of young restaurateurs and chefs.

Culinary highlights

The May 21 to June 1 cruise will include a gala dinner, which consists of a specially curated menu featuring the chef’s signature fusion of locally sourced ingredients and contemporary techniques.

A firsthand look at Ciriello's artistry will be possible via a live cooking demonstration.

Exclusive onshore experiences highlighting regional culinary traditions will also take place.

British Isles Cruise

The Spirit of the Celts takes passengers on an exploration of the British Isles to destinations such as Fowey, Tresco, Bantry, Dingle, Galway and Killybegs. The ancient standing stones of Stornoway and the natural wonder of Giant’s Causeway near Portrush are some of the highlights.

Excursions include scenic drives along the Cornish coast, kayaking in Dingle Bay and exploring the lush Tresco Abbey Gardens.

Medieval sites in Galway provide a glimpse into the region’s past, while a stroll through Oban offers a taste of local life, complete with an optional whisky tasting.
