Family-owned Wine Selectors was founded in 1975 by Greg Walls who was inducted as a Hunter Valley Living Legend in 2018.

The company sells only Australian wine from more than 500 wineries around the country, with a tasting panel of experts who select its products.

Domestic cruises

Princess Cruises’ Chloe Jones, senior marketing manager Australia and New Zealand, said following the success of the wine-themed Royal Princess cruise, where international wine show judge Dave Mavor held master classes, the concept is being considered for domestic cruises that call at the top wine-producing ports of Newcastle, gateway to the Hunter Valley, Hobart and Adelaide.

Jones said special shore excursions to local wineries could be an added attraction to the Australian wine experience on board.

Crossover

‘There is a crossover of cruise lovers and wine lovers,’ Jones said.
