The event celebrated a new partnership with 13-time World Pizza Champion Tony Gemignani.

Passengers consumed pizza at multiple ship venues, with Guinnes World Records adjudicator Callie Smith confirming the results.

Literally ton of ingredients

Princess chefs baked the pizzas using a total of 6,512 pounds of dough made from 3,417 pounds of flour, 2,323 pounds of cheese and 1,393 pounds of pepperoni.

Chef Gemignani has created two pizzas exclusively for Princess: soppressata sausage and hot honey and agave pesto and goat cheese. He also provided recipes for three of his signature, award-winning pizzas, supplementing the line's offerings.

Gemignani's artisan, hand-crafted pizzas will debut at Alfredo's on the new Sun Princess, with plans to expand to the rest of the fleet this summer. Princess chefs received specialized training under Gemignani's guidance from his acclaimed Tony's Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco ensuring they can masterfully replicate his recipes at sea.
