These come on the eve of the ship's Feb. 28 inaugural cruise.

Spellbound by Magic Castle

As the next 'Extraordinary Experience' from Princess, 'Spellbound by Magic Castle' will begin with a shared dinner in an exclusive area of the Horizons Dining Room before participants head to the secluded Spellbound Bar behind a nondescript black door. There, Magic Castle-sponsored magicians will perform close up in themed rooms and theatrical cocktails will be delivered by sleight-of-hand servers.

With three nightly offerings at 5, 7 and 9 at limited capacity, advance bookings are required with a $149 per person cover charge.

Kai Sushi with Makoto Okuwa

In an exclusive partnership with James Beard Foundation honoree Makoto Okuwa, Kai Sushi will reshape traditional sushi with a creative approach. The master of Edomae-style sushi, Okuwa brings his 25 years of experience to Sun Princess by crafting playful, exquisitely presented dishes.

Edomae-style sushi was created by the Edo (old name for Tokyo ) fast food businesses during the 1820s, combining fresh raw fish and cooked rice seasoned with vinegar. Okuwa, who has restaurants in Miami, Brazil, Mexico City and Panama, is also known from Food Network's 'Iron Chef.'

The Kai Sushi cover charge is $39 per person.

Royal afternoon tea with Darren McGrady

Darren McGrady — personal chef of Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Diana and Princes William and Harry, who also served five US presidents — will virtually lead a sophisticated royal afternoon tea in the Good Spirits at Sea Lounge on Sun Princess. McGrady shares his experiences and stories via visual media, interacting with the live host while participants take tea accompanied by scones with clotted cream and jam, tea sandwiches, cookies and pastries.

Royal afternoon tea will be offered on select sea days at $30 per person and may be reserved in advance. A glass of bubbly will be available for an added charge.

Wine tasting with Gérard Bertrand

French winemaker Gérard Bertrand, master winemaker of 2023 by 'The Drinks Business' magazine, is known around the world for his cote des rosés, award-winning rosé and several top-selling French wines.

He'll virtually host a special wine tasting in the Good Spirits at Sea Lounge, interacting via visual media.

The event is priced at $40 per person.

Inaugural Mediterranean season menus for the Horizons Dining Room were created in collaboration with the Culinary Institute of America and Princess Head of Culinary Arts Rudi Sodamin. Under Sodamin's supervision, a team of CIA master chefs will be on board Sun Princess training the brigade of 252 galley team members to prepare these memorable dinner menu items.

The three-deck Horizons offers three dining options — traditional seating with two dedicated dining times nightly (Deck 6), reservations and open seating (Deck 7) or anytime dining/no reservations (Deck 8).

Four Sixes Ranch Brand Beef

In addition, Sun Princess will be serving beef steaks from Four Sixes Ranch Brand Beef. With a 154-year legacy, the Four Sixes beef comes from ranches that prioritize quality, effective range management and sustainability.
