A new collaboration with The Spice House — a purveyor of fine spices, herbs, blends and extracts — sees Holland America Line continuing to showcase fresh ingredients and regional flavors.

A special Holland America-branded Spice House set will be sold on board featuring four premium blends that capture destinations the line visits.

So there's sweet and smoky 'Alaska Salmon Rub,' 'Dutch Table' smoked sea salt, the all-purpose 'Legendary Mediterranean Herb' and a salt-free 'Far East Fish Curry.'

Four-pack gift box

The four pack, in a gift box wrapped in HAL's signature orange and blue, is only available on board.

To spice up the partnership even more, Holland America chefs created four recipes that each feature one of the blends. The recipes are found on the Holland America Line blog.

Cruise giveaway

To kick off the collaboration, a giveaway will award one winner a $3,000 gift card toward Holland America Line. To enter, participants must follow both Holland America Line and The Spice House on Instagram, 'like' a designated giveaway post and tag three friends in the comments.

The giveaway runs for one week and ends after March 28. It is open to legal residents of the 50 US states and the District of Columbia who are at least 21. No purchase is necessary.

Shared vision

'We are excited to work with a cruise line like Holland America Line that shares our vision of using the highest quality ingredients to bring out the flavors that define cultures and regions around the world,' said Alex Wilkens, VP product, The Spice House. “The giveaway will allow fans to get to know both brands and bring some of their travels into their own kitchens.'
