There are eight of these beauties on Decks 8, 9, 10 and 12 and they range from 1,450 square feet to 1,850 square feet.
They aren't quite as colossal as the three aft-facing owner's suites on Decks 8, 9 and 10, which span the entire beam of the ship, but they do very nicely for discerning travelers seeking plenty of space and views.
Each Vista Suite (apart from those on Deck 8, where two concierge-level veranda rooms are between the pair) takes up half of the ship's width. And the terrace wraps around, giving side as well as forward views.
36 paces to cross the terrace
To give an idea of the immensity of that terrace, it took a long-legged reporter 36 paces to walk across. One could run laps around that terrace for a workout, or have 50 friends over for cocktails, even dancing. Or just soak in views like those from the captain's privileged perch on the Deck 11 bridge above.

The terrace is furnished with a dining table and lounge chairs.
Imagine being there in Monaco Harbor, surrounded by yachts, or sailing into Civitavecchia with a front-row seat to all the cruise ships coming and going.
Inside 9001
Vista Suite 9001 is located just steps from the Deck 9 Concierge Lounge, however Vista Suite residents also get access to the Deck 11 Executive Lounge with its dedicated concierge, among an array of other privileges.
Living and dining areas
The entrance hall opens into a living area and a dining area, with the sliding glass doors to that oversized terrace straight ahead. The living area clusters a sofa (which opens into a sofa bed) and chairs around a dark granite table and has a huge Samsung flat-screen interactive television and a selection of books and games. A welcome bottle of Pommery Champagne awaits.
Fresh flowers and modern art enliven the suite. A desk includes personalized stationery.
The dining table seats four and the nearby bar has crystal stemware, silver and a fridge stocked with beverages including a complimentary selection of six full-size bottles of premium spirits and wines. A large selection of afternoon canapes may be ordered from the butler and these range from California rolls to a mezze platter, international AOC cheese platter, chicken wings and more.
Marble galore
Particularly striking are the large expanses of marble, in rich colors and patterns, throughout the Vista Suite. Marble lavishly decorates the living area and the bar. And even the guest bath in the living/dining area has a marble wall in the large shower compartment and marble-topped sink.
Hallway to the bedroom, dressing room and master bath
A hallway leads to the bedroom with its king-sized bed (and pillow menu), another flat-screen television and a spacious dressing area with a marble vanity, a sofa and enough hanging closets and drawers to house a Hollywood star's wardrobe. Plush terry and lighter bathrobes are provided, along with cashmere lap blankets.

The master bath is huge, with double sinks, a soaking tub and separate shower cabinet and cabinet with toilet and Villeroy & Boch bidet — all areas with expanses of marble. Many drawers and cabinets provide further storage. A generous selection of full-sized Aqua di Parma toiletries is provided, and a boxed, take-home Bvlgari gift set is provided.
24-hour butler service
Butler service is available around the clock.
Among the other Vista Suite perks are priority 11 a.m. ship embarkation and luggage delivery, complimentary laundry service, garment pressing upon embarkation, shoeshine, priority online restaurant reservations, a fresh fruit basket replenished daily and an iPad upon request.
Vista Suite guests also get unlimited access to the Aquamar Spa Terrace.

What's the price?
What does this posh seagoing address cost? That depends, of course, on the itinerary.
Just as an example, Vista's May 13 seven-day Mediterranean cruise, from Civitavecchia (Rome) to Trieste, is priced at $15,198 (brochure rate), $7,599 (OLife fare with air) and $6,199 (cruise only), per person double occupancy. All Vista Suites are wait-listed on this sailing.
