More than 30 international and immersive food and beverage concepts – seven of them brand new – will feature onboard MSC World Europa, offering immersive culinary experiences and sustainably sourced farm-to-ocean ingredients.

The F&B concepts will be driven by seasonality and creative expression, with the ship’s 13 dining venues offering fine dining to casual and fun, with new collaborations. Passengers will also have 20 bars and lounges to choose from onboard the MSC Cruises ship.

‘The food and beverage experience onboard MSC World Europa – much like the ship itself – has been designed with the future in mind,’ explained Jacques Van Staden, VP food & beverage, MSC Cruises, ‘from sustainable sourcing and fresh farm-to-ocean ingredients, we have pulled out all the stops to offer a varied and unabridged dining offering for the next generation cruiser.'

He added, ‘Each new concept aims to go beyond what traditional venues achieved in the past and focus on crafted, artisanal and immersive experiences that will revolutionise the place dining holds in the overall cruise experience. We are eager for guests to discover what we have in store and savour the world while travelling with us.’

Gastronomy

The new Chef’s Garden Kitchen will focus on flavourful, seasonal farm-to-ocean cooking, with hydroponic microgreens grown and harvested onboard the LNG-powered vessel. The microgreens and lush greenery serve as the backdrop, set against an open chef’s table kitchen and complete with al fresco dining options. La Pescaderia, a further new addition, offers a fresh selection of seafood in a market-style setting, complete with a fresh fish display, where passengers can choose from a whole fish or from a selection of takeaway options. A variety of Mediterranean mezze accompanies the traditional seafood. It includes outdoor patio seating.

MSC World Europa’s third dining option unique to the vessel is Luna Park Pizza & Burger - a casual buffet, bright and showcasing inventive design elements for all ages. The interactive experience includes family games and a fun menu featuring classic American fare from ‘coney dogs’ and salted pretzels to funnel cake.

Well-known specialty restaurants will also be found onboard, including the American-style steakhouse Butcher’s Cut, Kaito Teppanyaki & Sushi Bar and Latin American street food-inspired Hola! Tacos & Cantina.

Bubbles, La Foglia, Esagono, Hexagon Restaurants, Il Mercato Buffet and La Brasserie Buffet will comprise the main dining options. Passengers who are part of the Aurea experience will have exclusive access to Les Dunes Restaurant.

Bars & lounges

New bar and lounge concepts include Coffee Emporium, a sleek and modern coffee house where some of the world’s best coffee beans can be found, from a signature blend roasted onboard to Rainforest Alliance Certified Lavazza Tierra for Planet. Passengers can choose from their favourite brewing and serving style – French, Italian, Turkish and Moroccan – served with corresponding international sweet treats. Leading coffee brand Lavazza will develop a special MSC signature roast, which can be purchased onboard. The beverages can be taken within the atmospheric café or on an outdoor patio from morning through to cocktail hour.

Indian and English tea traditions converge in a relaxing tropical setting at Raj Polo Tea House where classic English Breakfast and High Tea is served alongside contemporary beverage options such as cold-brewed and iced tea selections, tea infused cocktails and tea digestives with tasty accoutrements. The Gin Project comprises over 70 craft gins, with classic cocktails expertly prepared by gin-tenders along with a vintage Crawley’s shaker, where passengers can test their hand at shaking their own botanical cocktails, while Elixir - Mixology Bar serves edgy cocktails, with expert mixologists creating handcrafted concoctions featuring delicious Fever Tree mixers. This space also offers an outdoor terrace to enjoy pre- and post-meal beverages, as well as a dedicated Liquor Corner.

In addition to the new concepts onboard, some signature venues have been elevated with British pub Masters of the Sea, for instance, now with two levels from which to drink or observe live music. It also includes a brand new full-scale micro-brewery where MSC signature beers will be brewed onboard owing to a new collaboration with a master brewer whose details are set to be revealed soon.

Fizz - Champagne Bar varies from previous MSC Cruises ships, too, now housing its own dedicated venue. The lounge has an elegant atmosphere serving champagne and sparkling wine, a selection of caviar, chilled seafood and more.
