Fred. Olsen launches behind the scenes tours
Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has introduced tours that take passengers behind the scenes on Bolette, Borealis and Balmoral.
They will have the chance to explore areas of the ship usually off limits, for instance, venturing into the galley to see how the chefs prepare meals, learn what it takes to manage the stores and laundry room, and visit the engine control room and the bridge.
Groups are limited to 12 passengers, the cost is £49 per person and a keepsake lanyard and professional photo are included.
Ambassador Cruise Line announced guided ship tours last week for groups of 10.
A Signature Experience
James Moss, itinerary product manager, Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said, ‘We’re thrilled to be able to offer our guests these brand-new tours which will help them uncover the secrets and challenges of running a cruise ship.
‘They’ll be able to discover the volume of food needed to feed both guests and crew, as well as meet and speak to our dedicated crew members who are at the heart of what makes sailing with us so special while gaining an insight into life on board.’
The tours will enhance the cruise line’s Signature Experience, The Ship and Sea, which aims to give passengers an insight into the company’s 175 years of maritime heritage.
