There will be two exclusive performances on each cruise – one sailing Spain, Portugal and the Canary Islands, and the other, a Mediterranean voyage. Raffle tickets can be bought for £10 per person on board with spaces limited.

It follows Barlow’s sell-out performances on board Iona in 2022.

Gary Barlow

British songwriter and record producer Barlow is music director of The 710 Club on Arvia, curated to appeal to British music lovers and which offers an opportunity for up-and-coming musicians to get their break.

He has won eight BRIT Awards and sold over 45m records as part of boyband Take That, and co-written and produced music for artists including Dame Shirley Bassey, Sir Elton John and Robbie Williams.

‘Music has been such a massive part of my life – and taken me on so many journeys and adventures,’ explained Barlow. ‘After some incredible shows with P&O Cruises last year, I can’t wait to perform on Arvia and Iona in 2023 and pass these experiences on to all the guests.’

Itineraries

Barlow will join Iona’s 14-night ‘Spain, Portugal and Canary Islands’ cruise, sailing roundtrip from Southampton on March 18. Ports of call are Madeira, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Seville (from Cádiz) and Lisbon (including two full days and an overnight stay in port). P&O Cruises Food Hero, José Pizarro will also join the voyage.

The musician will also appear on a cruise of the same duration to the Mediterranean that will call La Coruña, Mallorca, Florence/Pisa (from La Spezia), Marseilles, Barcelona and Seville (from Cadiz). The roundtrip voyage from Southampton on Arvia gets underway April 30.
