For example, 'Spotlight on the State of Journalism' will carry celebrated journalists hosting talks and special dining experiences on Seven Sea's Mariner's Dec. 8 Caribbean cruise. A highlight will be a 'look at the numbers' on the political landscape with Charlie Cook of the Cook Political Report. The 10-night cruise sails round-trip Miami.

PBS's Judy Woodruff

A 'Spotlight on Public Broadcasting: 50 Years of Excellence' voyage in Southeast Asia will be hosted by PBS NewsHour anchor Judy Woodruff and her husband, Bloomberg’s Al Hunt. The 14-night trip on Seven Seas Explorer sails Feb. 4, 2022, from Bali to Bangkok.

'Spotlight on Cuisine with Mark Bittman' has the noted food writer and best-selling author hosting cocktail parties, shoreside experiences and cooking demonstrations. The 10-night cruise on Seven Seas Voyager, from Lisbon to Barcelona, departs April 15, 2022.

Broadway stars

Other offerings include 'Spotlight on Broadway with Seth Rudetsky & Friends' with Audra MacDonald accompanied by her two-time Tony-nominated husband Will Swenson, the Tony-winning LaChanze and her Tony-nominated daughter Celia Rose Gooding. This Barcelona to Venice cruise, seven nights on Seven Seas Splendor, sails April 19, 2022.

Wine, wine, wine

'Spotlight on Wine with Harlan Estate' is hosted by winemakers Amanda Harlan (Harlan Estate) and David Cilli (Promontory), along with director of ultra-premium winery and club The Napa Valley Reserve, Phillip Norfleet. The San Francisco to Vancouver, BC, voyage embarks May 5, 2022, on Seven Seas Mariner.

Two other wine-themed voyages feature Peter Mondavi Jr. of Charles Krug Winery in Napa Valley and Gargiulo Vineyards' Jeff Gargiulo and Valerie Boyd, while Chef Tommaso Barletta hosts a Mediterranean cruise with cooking demonstrations, a special degustation menu and culinary excursions.

Geanealogy, history, Hollywood, science

Further 'Spotlight' voyages delve into genealogy with Kyle Betit and Celia Heritage of AncestryProGenealogists on a British Isles cruise (July 3, 2022) and historic world war locales in Northern Europe with producers of four major PBS series on the histories of The Great War, World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War (Aug. 23, 2022).

Other 'Spotlight' voyages focus on Hollywood (during a Mexican Riviera round-trip from Los Angeles), the American musical (on a New York to Miami cruise) and science and exploration with 'Nova' filmmakers and producers (on a Los Angeles to Lima, Peru trip).
