Register for Seatrade Cruise Virtual: Health & Safety, Guest Experience and Tech & Innovation
A series of panel discussions focussing on health and safety, the guest experience and new technology and innovations will be hosted by Seatrade Cruise from April 12-14 as part of its virtual event series.
Small group sessions and networking opportunities are further features of the three-day event, which will comprise more than 20 interactive panels plus fireside chats.
Registration is available here and the agenda can be accessed here.
‘As we look ahead to April, we’re excited to engage with the broader cruise community to connect, educate and inform on segments that are paramount to the safe resumption of global operations and will define the future of cruising,’ said Chiara Giorgi, global brand and event director, Seatrade Cruise.
Health & Safety
The ‘International COVID-19 Health and Safety Update’ will take place on the first day of the event, highlighting the latest on approved vaccines and worldwide deployment status, current CDC regulations and policies, the approach for harmonising variances in cruise line protocols and a forecast for the safe return to pre-pandemic operations.
‘Health and Safety in Ship Design’ will follow as part of the Health & Safety component, with experts in shipbuilding and design delving into the practical challenges of adapting ships to comply with new protocols, technical solutions for enhanced ventilation and filtration, and best practices and lessons learned to date.
Guest Experience
With a long-term shutdown in operations, the usual hustle and bustle on board that keeps ships in optimal operating condition, has stopped. In ‘Ready for Resumption: What does it take to welcome guests back on board?’ on day two, Seatrade Cruise delves into what preparations will be required by cruise lines moving forward.
The Q&A session, ‘That’s Your Cue! Operating Entertainment On-Board,’ which also takes place during the Guest Experience segment, will allow attendees to submit questions and hear suggestions on how to operate live entertainment on board vessels, post-pandemic.
Tech & Innovation
As part of the Techn & Innovation offering on day three, cruise line technologists will deliberate the latest contact tracing developments in ‘Contact Tracing Technologies and Wearables.'
Leading port, shipyard and cruise line executives will then join ‘The Cruising Ecosystem: Perspectives on Emerging Technologies Post-COVID-19’ - an interactive panel discussion looking at changes to shipbuilding technology post-COVID-19, cruise port technologies, passenger screenings, personal health data and more.
Seatrade Cruise Virtual: Expedition Cruising
The three-day programme follows the success of Seatrade Cruise Virtual’s Expedition Cruising event held from March 8-9, which featured a line-up of industry big hitters discussing new destinations, emerging markets, overtourism and undertourism, and sustainability efforts.
‘We’re elated by the success of our first-ever event dedicated to Expedition Cruising, which attracted more than 950 global attendees to discuss this special and important segment of the industry,’ concluded Giorgi.
