Celebrities set to join Ambassador Cruise Line’s sailings this year include TV soap actors Dean Andrews, Beverly Callard, Sue Cleaver, Claire Sweeney and Catherine Tyldesley.

They will star in ‘In Conversation With…’ talks and ‘meet and greets’ on board Ambience and Ambition. 

Bob McGowan, chief experience officer, Ambassador Cruise Line, said, ‘We’re delighted to welcome some of the stage and screen’s best-loved stars on board as we look to offer even more cherished “Ambassador Moments” to guests travelling with us in 2025.’

He said the lineup has been carefully chosen to ensure there’s ‘truly something for everyone…’ 

‘The eclectic range of speakers, performers and sport stars that guests can look forward to joining onboard in 2025 is one that we hope will inspire and delight all those looking to enjoy themselves with Ambassador this season..,’ McGowan added. 

Norway

Sweeney, best known for roles in Channel 4’s Brookside, ITV’s Coronation Street, various West End shows and the very first series of Celebrity Big Brother, will join the 14-night ‘Land of the Northern Lights’ cruise to Norway. Additional acts include guest speaker and forensic scientist John Robson, magician and comedian Stephen Garcia and soprano Emily Haig.

The journey gets underway from London Cruise Terminal on February 23 and is priced starting at £799pp.

Ireland

Ambition’s ‘A Taste of Ireland’ cruise, leaving from London Cruise Terminal on April 11 and ending in Liverpool, allows passengers to get up close and personal with Cleaver. The four-night voyage across the Irish Sea gives passengers the opportunity to discover the historic port town of Cobh and venture into Cork.

Additional acts joining Cleaver are yet to be revealed.

Prices start at £309pp.  

Ambition’s ‘Emerald Isle Odyssey’ departing October 25 from Liverpool will be joined by Tyldesley whose on-screen credits take in several TV soaps including Coronation Street, Holby City and Emmerdale, as well as BBC’s Strictly ComeDancing. Additional acts joining Catherine are to be advised.

The five-night mini-cruise, priced starting from £329pp, begins in Cobh and continues to Belfast in Northern Ireland. 

France, Spain and Portugal

Passengers joining the ‘Hidden Gems of France, Spain & Portugal’ cruise on March 9 will have the opportunity to get the inside scoop from Andrews, whose career has included roles in ITV’s Emmerdale and the BBC’s Life on Mars. Additional acts include guest speaker and former senior banker and prison governor Ian Gunn; former senior military officer and Falklands veteran, Chip Chapman; and comedian Dave Kristian. 

The 12-night voyage gets underway from London Cruise Terminal and features the town of Getxo in Biscay, Spain, Le Verdon in Bordeaux, France and Lisbon, Portugal. 

The sailing operated by Ambition starts from £799pp. 

Ambience’s 14-night ‘France, Portugal & Spain Adventure’ will feature Callard from ITV’s Coronation Street, BBC’s Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps and Loose Women. Additional acts include comedian Rudi West, with further acts to be advised. 

Other unique on board experiences during this sailing include the chance to join ORCA ocean conservationist trainees for inspiring talks and wildlife watching sessions, as well as the opportunity to get involved in one of the many Supercraft workshops taking place such as lantern-making and embroidery.

The cruise is priced at £1,269pp departing from London Cruise Terminal on September 20.
