$5 for Princess Medallion customization; car racing, golf coming to Ocean SportsBook

A licensing agreement with NBA and WNBA raises the number of Princess Cruises' Medallion customizations to more than 175.

Customizations cost $5 and are ordered pre-cruise through the MedallionClass app.

Besides the addition of professional basketball teams, announced earlier this month by Princess President John Padgett, other customization choices include celebrations, birthstones, destination landmarks, domestic pets, traveler flags and zodiac signs, to name a few.

Coming soon: car racing and pro golf betting

In addition, Princess plans to add car racing and professional golf to the Ocean SportsBook, the only real-time sportsbook at sea. When the ship is in international waters, or wherever permitted by law, passengers can use the MedallionClass app to bet on a host of major sports competitions. The also can place prop bets during live events taking place during their cruise can place bets on future competitions that occur after their voyage.

Wagering is already avaialble on sports competitions like professional and college football, basketball, baseball and hockey.
