Using this tool, agents will have access to bookable content from 20+ cruise lines – including for the first time, river cruise companies.

Travel agents and cruise specialists will be able to upsell pre-and post-cruise content such as air, hotel, or transfers and easily offer cruise upgrades to boost revenues and efficiencies.

Odysseus Solutions

Amadeus has teamed up with a global cruise travel technology provider, Odysseus Solutions on delivering Cruise Portal which integrates with Amadeus Selling Platform Connect, allowing single-screen access at any time. Features include easy cruise itinerary and offer comparisons and real-time pricing.

River cruising

Jamie Loizou, managing director UK, AmaWaterways which has 25 river cruise ships said, ‘We are excited about the arrival of Amadeus Cruise Portal in the UK and Ireland. Pent-up demand for river cruising is very strong and having our product within the Cruise Portal will make it easier for specialists and general travel agents to meet that demand. Over the past months we have been working behind the scenes on developing new itineraries for 2023 including 11-night cruise and land packages on the Nile, five-night cruises on the Danube and 46-night Seven River Journey across 14 countries.’

Two versions of Cruise Portal

Liz Emmott, UK General Manager, Amadeus, added, ‘For travel agencies looking to reduce cost and save time in building their own customized application, Amadeus offers two more versions of the Cruise Portal – Standard White Label and Premium.’

The Standard White Label version offers B2B and B2C booking environments, dynamic packaging for those who purchase air, customer branding, user and rules management, and cruise line preferencing. The Premium White Label offers all the features of the standard version, along with cruise groups management, exchange rate module as well as a payment gateway integration, all custom built.
