American Cruise Lines is implementing high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi service on its riverboats and coastal ships.

This promises better connectivity and faster upload speeds nearly everywhere American's small vessels operate throughout the country — from Glacier Bay, Alaska to the Florida Keys, from California's Napa Valley wine country to the Northeast's Hudson River, and from the Mississippi to the Columbia and Snake rivers.

Starlink is powered by a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites to provide a stable connection to American’s continuously moving fleet. The line beta-tested the Starlink service in 2022 and passengers responded with rave reviews.

Consistent with the line's all-inclusive pricing, Starlink Wi-Fi will be at no extra charge.
