TheICEway announced it is Otalio’s official infrastructure implementation partner. The move is set to begin immediately with both parties citing significant benefits.

The majority of ship property management systems (SPMS) now favour web and cloud technology. This is what has driven the new partnership, said the founders of each party.

As cloud computing continues to grow, Otalio continues to expand functionality in new service areas such as passenger-facing features on mobile devices.

Digital transformation is ever-evolving and as such, the volume of scalable opportunities required to meet the increasing demands of maximising passengers satisfaction is huge.

‘Whilst Otalio has proven to be well up to the task of developing new and innovative technology,  delivering and managing the robust infrastructure required to keep all that innovation stable is a different matter that requires a specialist partner’ notes Otalio’s co- founder and managing director, Tony Heuer.

And according to theICEway CEO and co-founder Ian Richardson, that is where theICEway, an ecosystem of companies that is dedicated to driving digital transformation steps in, having supplied IT solutions to the cruise industry for over 15 years.

‘theICEway – which is ICE, CRIBB Cyber Security and eTestware combining to deliver cloud strategy, application managed services and technology projects - will take responsibility and ownership of the infrastructure deployments and builds and ongoing management, allowing Otalio to focus on what it does best,’ he added.

‘This partnership is a fantastic opportunity for both theICEway and Otalio. Our system implementation know-how combined with Otalio’s unparalleled technology skills means that cruise companies can be fully confident when looking to upscale their existing IT infrastructure,’ commented Richardson.

Tony Heuer, who has been working with theICEway on numerous tech projects over the years commented: ‘There was always a good fit between our teams and we very much welcome the opportunity to work on many more implementation projects with them in the future. The cruise industry is already bouncing back and Otalio and theICEway teamwork can help making the ships roll-out a success across any fleet.’

Otalio’s ongoing mission is to revolutionise the way cruise companies handle their fleet operation. By incorporating new cloud technologies, Otalio delivers both shore-side and onboard teams a single platform through which to communicate as one voice.
