MSC Cruises country leads in these markets will now also assume local responsibility for Explora Journeys to create greater synergies for the benefit of the local travel trade community.

Effective in 12 countries

The new reporting structure is effective in the following countries: UK, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Switzerland, South Africa, Brazil, China, Korea and Japan.

Explora Journeys, in these same markets, will continue to have its own dedicated specialist team for sales, marketing, contact centres and public relations. Additional Explora Journeys-dedicated resources will provide support in each market when required to ensure the new approach’s success.

A simplified structure

An MSC Cruises spokesperson told Seatrade Cruise News the move demonstrates how MSC Group ‘aims to grow and develop further the relationship with the travel trade community which has played such a vital role in its growth to date, and continues to do so with both our brands.’

They added, ‘This more simplified structure will provide easier access for our trade partners, especially travel advisors, leading to mutual and rewarding benefits for all sides.’

They added, ‘Most importantly, it will allow the travel trade community to benefit from the continued investments MSC Group is making in both brands, thus providing travel trade partners with expanded opportunities for growth.’
