To mark its 70th anniversary year, Costa Cruises organised a special cruise for loyalty club members which included a party attended by company president Neil Palomba and a performance by Gloria Gaynor.

Around 3,000 CostaClub members from 18 countries sailed on the 12-day Mediterranean trip aboard Costa Pacifica.
French pastry chef Christophe Adam created a 3mtr high pyramid of his famous and colourful "Éclair de Génie" (pastry cakes), the main attraction of a celebratory party.
Chef Bruno Barbieri, winner of seven Michelin stars in his career, a partner of Costa Cruises for many years, directed a show-cooking event involving a number of CostaClub members preparing dishes, and presented his new menu created exclusively for Costa ships.

Gloria Gaynor performed a concert in the ship’s theatre, singing many of her hits including "I Will Survive" and "Never Can Say Goodbye".

The 70th anniversary party culminated with the cutting of a large cake.
The next CostaClub cruise will depart on April 20, 2019, aboard Costa Mediterranea, sailing from Amsterdam on a 16-day itinerary around Great Britain and Ireland, calling in London, Dublin, Belfast, Liverpool, Edinburgh and Newcastle.
