Among them, the Official Race Village will include a dedicated Explora Journeys area, where visitors can get into the 'ocean state of mind.' In addition, the cruise line's logo will be prominently displayed during the race broadcasts.

In this 37th America's Cup, teams from the US, UK, Italy, Switzerland and France will race for supremacy in the Louis Vuitton Cup Challenger Series with the winner to face off against the defender, Emirates Team New Zealand, in the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup Match.

The event takes place between August and October.

Shared history of challenge and achievement

'Our collaboration with the America's Cup pays homage to a shared seafaring history of challenge and achievement. From the rich tapestry of the Cup's history to our own 300-year maritime tradition, this partnership embodies our commitment to excellence, innovation and a deep reverence for the sea,' said Pierfrancesco Vago, executive chairman, cruise division of MSC Group.

The partnership also reinforces the cruise division of MSC Group's commitment to the Port of Barcelona and to the city itself, a key destination. The group is building a new cruise terminal for Explora Journeys and MSC Cruises that's set for completion later this year.

Barcelona will be visited regularly by the new Explora II in summer and autumn 2024 following its planned August debut.
