An expanded program for qualiffying heroes — US military service members, police, firefighters, EMS personnel, nurses and educatorsGRAPHIC: MARGARITAVILLE AT SEA

These are for qualifying heroes and their guest including on the recently launched Margaritaville at Sea Islander. This will allow US military service members (active duty and veterans), police, firefighters, EMS personnel, nurses and educators to sail on all Caribbean, Mexico and Bahamas cruises for only the cost of taxes, fees and port expenses.

'We are committed to continuing to be the best cruise line for our heroes,' said Christopher Ivy, CEO of Margaritaville at Sea. '... We are reaffirming our commitment to the tens of thousands of heroes who have sailed with Margaritaville at Sea by giving them even more options to sail with us more frequently.'

The 'Heroes Sail Free' program launched in 2022 through a partnership with GovX.com, and has enabled tens of thousands of heroes and their guests to sail with the line.

Two additional enhancements

Beside including the new Islander, Margaritaville at Sea is enhancing the program in two additional ways. Previously, the program allowed heroes to sail only once per year on two-night Bahamas cruises out of Palm Beach, but this has been expanded to include unlimited usage throughout the year on all available sailings up to and including three-, four-, five, six- and seven-night vacations.

Plus, heroes now receive best available retail pricing with a 20% incremental discount on top of any sales or benefits available online for any booking when free heroes cabins are sold out or a different stateroom type is desired.

Onboard salute

Also, heroes will get a special moment of recognition aboard the Islander at the 'Salute to Heroes' hosted by the Cruise Director Zoltina-Jay (Zee-Jay) Medwik-Dailey.

To receive this offer, heroes need to book online through the link available on GovX.com or at margaritavilleatsea.com/offers/Heroessailfree/.
