Richard Branson took to 'Good Morning America' today to tout Virgin Voyages' new annual pass, capitalizing on the 'work from anywhere' trend and allowing bitcoin for purchase.

This makes Virgin the first known cruise line to accept cryptocurrrency as payment and follows the success of the company's summer season pass.

The annual pass allows travelers to hop onto any ship, anytime, from anywhere for an entire calendar year.

$120,000 base fare

It is available on a first-come, first-served basis with a base fare total of $120,000, excluding taxes and fees for voyages booked. Pass holders can select a start date of Jan. 1, Feb. 1, March 1 or April 1, and the pass will be valid for one year from the desired start date.

Sailors must book between now and March 31.

Travel advisor commission

First mates (travel advisors) who sell the annual pass will earn a $10,000 commission.

'I’ve always been a big believer in the power of travel and adventure to spark creativity and bring clarity,' Branson said. 'What started as a sought after "work from sea" concept with our season pass has evolved into something even more special.'

Virgin Voyages’ annual pass will allow sailors the opportunity to explore every lady ship in the fleet, including inaugural voyages on the fourth and final vessel, Brilliant Lady, set to debut in September 2025.

The pass includes a spot in a sea terrace cabin, featuring balcony views and the brand's iconic red hammock, starting as soon as the new year.

Perks

Shipboard perks include priority boarding, complimentary laundry services, dedicated concierge support, unlimited premium Wi-Fi, a $100 Bar Tab credit per voyage, and access to exclusive events and experiences. Annual pass holders are welcome to add a plus one to their cabin, with the ability to travel with different companions throughout the year.
The annual pass is not combinable with other offers or Bar Tab. Sailors will also earn Deep Blue Extras upon booking.
