'If you’re old enough to vote, you’re old enough to sail' was the thinking that inspired Virgin Voyages’ (cheeky) definition of 'children.' Here, Richard Branson shipboard in Razzle DazzlePHOTO: VIRGIN VOYAGES

Before embarking on the uncharted journey of moving into a new dorm, searching for a job or some other rite of passage, 'kids' ages 18-26 are invited to cruise on Virgin with their parents, guardians or caregivers at no extra cost.

Adult children welcome

The adults-only brand is changing its tune and answering the call of its sailors to bring their (adult) children on board — whether to celebrate graduation, heading off to college or being bumped from their health insurance.

From making beaded bracelets like they did at summer camp to dodgeball games, Salty Trivia or dancing in the pool during Scarlet Night, kiddos can bond with their parents and create memories before their next major milestone. Paired with excursions like wine tasting in Italy, cooking in the Mediterranean or swimming with sharks in Bimini, Virgin Voyages’ experiences are anything but the average vacation kids club.

Book by Aug. 23

For a limited time only. now through Aug. 23, travelers can book a central sea terrace (or lower cabin category) for two and sail into the sunset with their kid at no extra cost. This offer is valid for sailings now through Dec. 15.
