Adventure of the Seas will also deliver humanitarian relief supplies
Given the impact of Hurricane Maria on Puerto Rico, Royal Caribbean International decided to cancel Adventure of the Seas' Sept. 30 cruise from San Juan, which had been tentative.

Instead, the ship will be used for evacuation and humanitarian efforts.

Adventure of the Seas is due to aid in evacuations from San Juan, St. Thomas and St. Croix while also delivering critical supplies to each destination.

The ship will carry evacuees to Port Everglades before returning to San Juan on Oct. 6 to prepare for its Oct. 7 cruise.
