A new video shows the layout, facilities and flavor of MSC Cruises' private island, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve.

The minute-long, computer-generated imagery fleshes out features of the 120-acre site in the Bahamas, 65 miles east of Miami.

Day to night

And since ship calls will stretch from day into night, the island is shown in sunlight and after dark.

Ocean Cay will have a dock, multiple palm-fringed beaches, a food court, ice cream/coffee shop and a lighthouse with a Hemingway-style bar, terrace and live music. Light shows are planned after sunset.

The first ship call, by MSC Meraviglia, is set for Nov. 9. Beginning in November, all of MSC's Caribbean cruises from PortMiami are scheduled to visit Ocean Cay.
