New on the board of AIDA, and in the cruise industry - Ali Arnaout
Rostock-based AIDA Cruises appointed Dr Ali Arnaout as cfo & svp business development, as successor to Paul Soulsby who was promoted to svp shared services of Genoa-based Costa Group in January.

Arnaout reports to AIDA president Michael Ungerer. The new executive's responsibilities include finances, control, legal affairs and business development.

A graduate in business management, Arnaout is a newcomer to cruising with vast previous experience in the real estate sector. He has most recently been chairman of the board of Engel & Völkers Capital AG.

Commenting on the appointment, Ungerer said he was pleased to have a renowned financial expert joining AIDA's board: ‘With his vast national and international experience, he will make an important contribution to the continuation of our successful growth and the expansion of our business fields.’
