Alex Hayes, general manager-landside, presented AIDAaura’s captain the Portland Port stone plaque. This was the third German ship to visit Portland in the same week, which has been a great economic boost for the port and the surrounding areas.
Eight AIDA calls
Eight calls by AIDA ships are scheduled this year including with a further inaugural visit, by AIDAcara.
The port will receive 17 calls from German ships this season.
Record year
Earlier Seatrade Cruise News reported on Portland Port’s expectations for another record-breaking cruise season, with the greatest number of calls and passengers to date.
