With a price per berth of around $546,000, the Allura-class ships for Oceania Cruises cost about 30% more than the brand's last newbuilds, according to UBS.

$546,000 per berth, up from $412,000

Each 1,200-berth ship is priced at €575m, or €479,000/$546,000 per berth. This compares to the 1,250-berth sister ships Riviera, delivered in 2012, and Marina, in 2011, that cost around $412,000 per berth, UBS analyst Robin Farley said in a note.

Fincantieri, which built Riviera and Marina, will also construct the Allura-class pair.

Lavish accommodations

Oceania Cruises president and CEO Bob Binder said the Allura class will offer the most spacious standard staterooms afloat and 'amazing suites.' New enrichment elements are planned, too.
