2020 delivery
Under construction at Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Salisbury, Maryland, American Melody is expected to begin sailing in late 2020. It follows sister vessels American Song (2018), this year's recently introduced American Harmony and another 2020 vessel, American Jazz.
Like those, American Melody has a patent-pending opening bow and retractable gangway, a multi-story glass atrium and roomy accommodations, all with private balconies.
A fifth vessel is planned for American's modern riverboat series.
