Columbus Cruise Centre Bremerhaven (CCCB) Germany’s number two North Sea cruise port operator, closed this year’s cruise season on a high after receiving a total of 120 cruise calls in 2019.

The total figure for cruise passengers for 2019 was 250,000 up from 240,000 passengers received in 2018. The season ended following the final call this year from Phoenix Reisen’s Artania.

Maiden calls from TUI Cruises’ Mein Schiff 2, AIDA Cruises’ AIDAcara, Phoenix Reisen's Amera and Cruise & Maritime Voyages’ Vasco da Gama were received at Bremerhaven this year, where both Amera and Vasco da Gama were christened this year.

Fleet meet

In August the Phoenix fleet kept with tradition with Amadea, Albatros, Artania and Deutschland meeting at the cruise port at the same time.

FTI Cruises’ Berlin called Bremerhaven three times this year.

The closing of this season will coincide with the retirement of manager ship operations, Wilfried Probst after 15 years of service at CCCB.
