Carnival Pride kicked off a winter schedule of weekly Caribbean cruises from the Port of Tampa Sunday following a $75m drydock that added Fun Ship 2.0 dining and entertainment features and began the installation of exhaust gas scrubbers. The scrubber implementation will continue while the ship is in service.

On its new winter schedule from Tampa, Carnival Pride sails Sundays to Cozumel, Roatán's Mahogany Bay, Belize City and Grand Cayman or Costa Maya.

After its three-week docking at Grand Bahama Shipyard, the 2002-built Carnival Pride emerged with four new Playlist Productions shows—''80s Pop to the Max,' 'Heart of Soul,' 'Getaway Island' and '88 Keys: The Rock and Roll Piano Show.'

The ship's entertainment lineup also added 'Hasbro, The Game Show.'

New dining choices include Guy's Burger Joint, developed with celebrity chef Guy Fieri; the full-service Bonsai Sushi restaurant and BlueIguana Cantina, serving Mexican fare. Further additions are the cocktail pharmacy-themed Alchemy Bar, the Caribbean-inspired RedFrog Pub, EA SPORTS Bar with a huge 16-monitor video wall, and the poolside BlueIguana Tequila Bar and RedFrog Rum Bar.

Cherry on Top, selling candy, novelties and gifts, is now on Carnival Pride.

A large WaterWorks park with the steep and fast Green Thunder water slide was installed, too.

Carnival Pride will operate from Tampa through March then reposition to Baltimore for year-round five- to 14-day cruises.
