Carnival Cruise Line is to resume Mobile sailings on Wednesday following a five-year gap in service from the Alabama city.

Carnival Fantasy will embark a cruise to Cozumel and Progreso. Going forward, the ship will sail five-day cruises to Cozumel and Costa Maya or Progreso, departing Mondays, and four-day cruises to Cozumel, sailing Thursdays. This program is scheduled to November 2017.

Carnival had pulled out of regular Mobile service in October 2011, after basing a ship in the city year-round since October 2004 when the Alabama Cruse Terminal opened.
