The ship will sail July 7 from Lisbon to Civitavecchia (Rome). The line said the cruise will feature cooking demonstrations, signature menus, book signings and surprises. Passengers can also take part in an 80th birthday celebration for Pépin.
'I have so many memories in the ports we will visit including Barcelona, Provence and Portofino, and look forward to sharing them with all the guests joining us on this voyage,' the chef said.
He also will share his passion for painting in the Artist Loft on board. A selection of Pépin's works are currently on display in his namesake restaurant on Riviera, and the chef is known to enjoy talking about art as much as he does fine cuisine. He is expected to be seen throughout the ship in such venues as Martinis and Horizons for tea.
Pépin is the host of award-winning cooking shows, author of more than 20 cookbooks and has served as personal chef to numerous heads of state. As the executive culinary director for Oceania Cruises, his dishes are featured in the gourmet restaurants on board the entire fleet including his 'Jacques' restaurants on Riviera and Marina.
