The new building is 160 feet long by 70 feet wide and 70 feet high. It will have advanced climate control and has been fitted with two overhead cranes and the latest equipment.
The building is large enough to accommodate the full construction of tugboats or large hull sections. Currently under construction in this building is an aft module of Hull 119, a 275-foot coastal cruise ship.
In the cruise sector, Chesapeake Shipbuilding is noted for constructing American Cruise Lines vessels.
