CLIA launches cruise learning programme into the Spanish market

Cruise Lines International Association is launching its cruise learning programme into the Spanish market. ‘B the travel brand’ is one of country’s leading retail networks with 650 agencies throughout Spain and is the first travel agency to sign up for the CLIA accredited learning programme.

Travel agents will have access to Cruise Experts online training and dedicated resources in one place while also offering agents the opportunity to work towards industry recognised accreditation.

'The launch of Cruise Experts in Spain demonstrates CLIA’s commitment, and that of its cruise line members, in growing cruise sales. In 2015, CLIA UK & Ireland welcomed nearly 22,000 online users to Cruise Experts who accounted for 190,000 page views. It is an invaluable tool for those who sell cruise holidays so I’m delighted we are sharing these assets with our European colleagues,' said Andy Harmer, CLIA Europe vp operations.

The Cruise Experts online platform is organised into three distinct areas providing almost 90 training modules together with reports and statistics, a digital brochure rack, CLIA factsheets cruise search engine and destination information, news and calendar of cruise industry events open to travel agents.

France was the first continental European country to start working with CLIA's cruise learning programme, launched in November 2015. CLIA Europe and MedCruise jointly worked to create the learning platform for French travel agents particularly ensuring the balanced promotion of all MedCruise members in the destination module.
