CLIA sets Port & Destination Summit in Tenerife

CLIA sets Port & Destination Summit in Tenerife
Cruise Lines International Association timed its 2016 Port & Destination Summit to take place one day ahead of Seatrade Cruise Med, Europe's largest cruise industry gathering.

The CLIA summit is scheduled for Sept. 20 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, prior to the Sept. 21-23 Seatrade event.

Now in its third year, the Port & Destination Summit gathers decision-makers from cruise line port operations, destination development, shore excursions and itinerary planning to join CLIA Executive Partners representing port authorities, port agencies, tourism and destination management organisations for a day of networking, education and discussion.

An itinerary planning workshop developed by David Selby of Travelyields that debuted in 2015 added new challenges for this summit, while a business exchange session featuring pre-bookable one-to-one meetings with 40 cruise line executives from 20 brands will also return this year.

On the following day, CLIA Executive Partners are invited to join executives from the association's cruise line members for an evening of cocktails, canapes and networking.

Registration for the summit is open, and early bird rates are available until July 14.

Seatrade Cruise Med will be hosted by the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife at the International Trade Fair and Congress Centre in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
