Costa Atlantica makes maiden call at San Francisco on world cruise

As part of its 86-night world cruise round-trip Shanghai and carrying Chinese passengers, Costa Atlantica made a maiden call at the Port of San Francisco.

The ship docked May 6 at the James R. Herman Cruise Terminal at Pier 27.

Representing the port, Michael Nerney, maritime marketing manager, presented a plaque to Costa Atlantica Capt. Nicolantonio Palombella.

Following its San Francisco stay, the ship continued on to Hawaii.
