The countdown has begun to MSC Meraviglia debut with just 99 days to go now until the christening in Le Havre, France on June 3, 2017.

MSC Cruises' 167,000gt next-generation ship, the first of 11 newbuilds set to come into service over the next ten years, is spending her inaugural season in the Mediterranean with three homeports: Genoa, Barcelona and Marseille.

Guests have access to 33,000sq mtr of public space across 15 public decks with onboard highlights including exclusive world-class entertainment with Cirque du Soleil at Sea shows; 12 distinct dining venues serving a rage of international dining options including five speciality restaurants and a Mediterranean-style promenade featuring multiple bars, restaurants and shops, as well as the longest LED Sky Screen at sea broadcasting atmospheric images and entertainment 24 hours a day.

Meraviglia means ‘a wonder’ in Italian and all decks of the ship are named after the wonders of the world. Around 35,000 tons of steel makes up the ship and over 1,800 people worked on the ship’s hull alone which includes over 300,000 parts.

From the first cutting of steel to the final delivery, will take 26 months.
