Cruise Baltic launches trio of online initiatives

Cruise Baltic launches trio of online initiatives
Network Cruise Baltic is using the platform of Seatrade Cruise Global this week to announce news of several initiatives, which have been implemented online at, marking three industry ‘firsts’, says director Claus Bødker.

The developments are: all the berthing policies for each of the Cruise Baltic partner ports have been made available online: 'cruise lines regularly request the need for public and transparent berthing policies,' adds Bødker.
Additionally and for easy reference, all the standard port fees are now also listed and thirdly, a complete overview of all waste reception facilities in each of the 80 piers on the Baltic Sea region is also online to view, he said.
'We strive continuously to innovate and make life as easy and attractive as possible for the cruise lines when they are co-ordinating their itinerary planning. I believe our commitment is reflected in the launch of these three specific industry developments,' the director said.
'By introducing such transparency, we are assisting the cruise lines when they are reserving ship calls; and with the new environmental regulations taking effect in 2019 (no discharge in the Baltic Sea area for new ships) and 2021(same applies for existing ships), publishing such extensive overviews of the port reception facilities will also prove effective and beneficial, meeting industry needs,' Bødker feels.
Cruise Baltic represents 29 destinations in the region.
